Bennati Molto Veloce – Tour of Oman Stage 2
Completely shutout during last week's Tour of Qatar, Daniele Bennati (Liquigas-Doimo) finally broke through and garnered his first win of the 2010 season. The 29-year-old Italian, who has won stages in all three of the Grand Tours, would cruise across the line in Samail to take the 148.5km Stage 2 of the Tour of Oman ahead of a pair of rising stars, American Tyler Farrar (Team Garmin-Transitions) and Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Sky).
By virtue of his third placed finish on today's stage, Boasson Hagen (Team Sky) claimed the lead in the General Classification.
