A Cycling Site With Some Teeth

Scribbling All Over the 2010 Amgen Tour of California

One of the great traditions of the sport of cycling is not found in the pageantry, pomp and circumstance, but quite literally on the very roads of that the cyclists race over, the chalk or painted tributes that fans leave for their favorite teams or riders.

Last year, Lance Armstrong's LIVESTRONG Foundation took the tradition up a notch on the streets of France with its Chalk-Bot. And now the bar has been raised again with artist Kathleen King's Bike Scribbles.

In similar guerrilla-like fashion to those who create street art, we took to the actual course, she drawing while I filmed, to spread a little cheer at various start lines, finishing cities and KOMs of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California.
