Colavita/Forno D’Asolo Pro Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light Announces Roster for TD Bank Philadelphia International Championship Women’s Liberty Classic
World Road Champion Giorgia Bronzini and Theresa Cliff-Ryan Are Among Favorites to Win
Linden, NJ – The Colavita/Forno D’Asolo Pro Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light is aiming for victory at the TD Bank Philadelphia International Championship Women’s Liberty Classic on June 5th.
“We have an unbelievable roster,” said Directeur Sportif Rachel Heal. “Between World Road Champion Giorgia Bronzini, NRC Champion Cath Cheatley, and riders like Theresa Cliff-Ryan and Andrea Dvorak, who are racing better than ever, we’re prepared for all situations.”
“Theresa and Giorgia, in particular, have developed a great chemistry,” continued Heal. “Earlier this week at the Tour of Somerville, it was Giorgia who set Theresa up for her third victory there.” At the Grand Prix de Gatineau in Canada in May, Bronzini was the winner in the road race and shared the podium with Cliff-Ryan, who took third.
Cliff-Ryan’s third place finish at the 2010 Liberty Classic put her at the top of the standings for US riders. She is on most “Riders to Watch” lists as a victory would make Cliff-Ryan the first US rider to win the Liberty Classic, among the most prestigious races in women’s cycling. Her speed and versatility have been on full display this season, with back-to-back wins in the Redlands Bicycle Classic, three victories in USA Crits Speedweek Series, and a bronze medal in the road race at the Pan Am Road & Track Championships in Bogota, Colombia.
